| Welcome |
I am an experienced independent consultant and trainer from Braunschweig, Germany, for agile software development.
My know-how in agile processes is based on over ten years experience in developing object-oriented applications. I am an experienced XP, and agile process coach and trainer. I have worked with teams using agile processes successfully on medium-sized to large mission-critical projects. As a coach I'm focusing on the process as well as on the quality and on soft factors like communication. I work also as a facilitator for retrospectives. With retrospectives I help my clients to improve their software engineering process.
Besides engineering software I have been designing and teaching OT courses in industry. Having completed a course of teacher training and led many 'train the trainer' programs in industry, I focus also on techniques that help to teach object technology and I am a main lead in the pedagogical patterns project. I have presented work in my main areas at conferences such as ACCU (UK), OOPSLA (USA), SPA (UK), XP (Europe) and Agile (USA). I am a member of the AgileAlliance (I have served the board of directors from 2003-2007), a supporter of the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and a member of several Interest Groups.

The first book I
published is called Agile Software
Development in the Large, published by
Dorset House. The book has been translated into German by Nicolai
Josuttis. DPunkt.Verlag has published the book as: Agile
Softwareentwicklung im Großen: Ein Eintauchen in die Untiefen erfolgreicher
Projekte.
My latest work is on Agile Software Development with Distributed Teams: Staying Agile in a Global World. The according book has been published in German as 'Agile Softwareentwicklung mit Verteilten Teams') by DPunkt.Verlag. It will be published in English by Dorset House in autumn and can already be preordered.
I am a partner of IT communication.
